Sew Many Options Tours was started in Portland, OR in 1994 by Owner Marsha
McClintock. She wanted share her love of sewing, fashion and travel with other
women. Her plan was to take women who love sewing to wonderful locations full of
textile treasures. She has successfully done this by guiding groups to Hong Kong,
New York, Paris, Los Angeles, and Vancouver BC. Being based in Portland, OR, a Mecca
in the sewing industry, she has guided tours in her own city. Each year she fills a
Gray Line bus with enthusiastic women to attend the Puyallup Sewing Expo
in Washington state (2.5 hours from Portland). Our tours combine visits to interesting
destinations, sight seeing, textile and fashion museums, designer's workrooms, wonderful
fabric/notion sources, and delicious dining. All this plus the company of other women with a common interest.

Marsha McClintock has been a dressmaker, designer and teacher in Portland, OR for over 20
years. Since 1994, she has been the owner of Sew Many Options Tours taking women on
fashion and sewing tours. She is a past president of the Professional Association of
Custom Clothiers, Oregon Chapter, and started their group buy program. While doing this
job, she acquired a great deal of experience locating fabric and notion suppliers, which she has
incorporated into her tours. In 1998, she purchased
SAF-T-POCKETS Travelwear Patterns. The
company develops patterns for clothing with hidden pockets for carrying life's essentials. In
addition, she teaches classes around the country and at the Palmer/Pletsch Sewing School on planning and
packing a travel wardrobe. She feels the two businesses are a natural combination as she wears the clothes
on all of her tours. Marsha loves people and specializes in having fun. Her approachable
style and sense of humor will make sure that you have fun too!
